Members working at Central Rivers Power make up a dedicated and highly skilled group within IBEW Local 1837, supporting the safe and efficient generation of renewable energy across New Hampshire. Central Rivers Power owns and operates 45 hydroelectric power plants across the United States, including nine facilities in New Hampshire with a combined installed capacity of approximately 340 megawatts.

The New Hampshire hydro assets were formerly owned by Eversource Energy (Eversource NH) and became part of the divestiture ordered by the State Legislature, marking a significant transition in the ownership and operation of these critical generating facilities. Today, those assets are owned and operated by Central Rivers Power, a company focused on maintaining and optimizing hydroelectric generation as a reliable, renewable energy source.

Through collective bargaining, IBEW Local 1837 works to secure strong contracts that protect wages, benefits, and workplace standards, while supporting the long-term reliability and success of hydroelectric operations in New Hampshire.
