IBEW 1837 at Maine Democratic Party

The staff of the Maine Democratic Party organized with IBEW Local #1837 in 2021 and their union was voluntarily recognized by the Party. They negotiated their first contract, which went into effect in early 2022. The entire staff is represented, including employees responsible for organizing, data, communications, finance, development and operations. During the campaign season, employees of the coordinated campaign also represented by IBEW 1837.

Other Locals of IBEW represent Democratic Party staff in New Hampshire and Massachusetts. IBEW has also represented the staff of various Democratic presidential candidates.
